Hide and seek is an accessory range for Delpozo Spring Summer 20 collection.
This season, the bag is no longer a simple decoration item, but become a daily ally, dealing with the needs of women. Functional and intuitive, it was intended like a pocketknife, which you can't do without.
However, the bag does not lose its seductive power, it highlights the Delpozo’s aesthetics, through a modern poetry. For SS 20, the Delpozo bag is inspired by the duo of Japanese architects SANAA. It plays on the transparency and effects of materials, confronts heat and cold, straight lines and alveolar forms. The bag adorn itself with plastic, beads and silicon embroideries, and thereby, purpose a futurist vision of the accessory.
Some design of the collection has been created on the principle of Zero Waste Pattern. Using the flat folding method inspired by origami, the pattern of the bag don’t waste any fabric. This method allows to create scalable bags, that can meet the needs of the woman. Furthermore, it’s easy to fold, unfold and tidy up.
One of the goals of Lutz Huelle, the new art director of Delpozo, is to expand the day offer of Delpozo collections. Indeed, the current offer is too specialized in evening garments, and the brand tends to aim a younger target. As the accessory designer of the SS 20 collection, I worked on the idea to make wearable designs, easy-to-wear on the daily life, more practical, but keeping the sophisticated aesthetic and enhance the Delpozo heritage.
